Uniform

Wearing a uniform helps pupils to feel a sense of pride in their school and a sense of belonging. We ask that you encourage your child to wear their uniform proudly and properly, and clearly label all items of clothing and equipment with your child’s name.

Our uniform includes the following:

  • Green sweatshirt or cardigan (preferably with school logo)
  • White shirt/blouse or polo shirt
  • Grey trousers, grey A-line/pleated skirt or pinafore dress
  • Flat black shoes
  • In summer: grey shorts / green gingham dress

Other than one pair of small stud earrings and a watch (not a Smartwatch), jewellery and make-up, including nail varnish, are not permitted.

PE kit must be worn to school on pupils designated PE days.

  • Yellow or green t-shirt (preferably with school logo)
  • Green shorts
  • Plain dark tracksuit
  • Trainers
  • Optional green hoodie with school logo

Team shirts e.g. football, should not be worn and earrings are to be removed.

Where to buy uniform

You can buy branded items from FHB School Uniform online or at the Frank Harrison store in Kershaw’s Shopping Village, 221 Halifax Road, Brighouse, HD6 2QD.

Non-branded items can be purchased from many high-street stores, supermarkets and online shops.

Second-hand uniform can be purchased on a donations basis from the PFSA, some of which is available to browse in the reception area outside the school office. Adverts for uniform sales are also publicised via our school's weekly newsletter. Money raised from the sale of second-hand uniform goes back into PFSA funds to support the school.

The Halifax YMCA also run a free school uniform scheme, both accepting donations and for families in need of uniforms. Full details can be found on their website at https://halifaxymca.org.uk/school-uniform.html
